On the sea-bottom near island Hvar, at the depth of 47m, lies a well-preserved wreck of an american WW2 bomber - B-24 Liberator.

Serial number 42-51874 is still visible on the tail section. It belonged to the 451st Bomber Group, 727th Bomb Squadron, and was nick-named 'La petite fleur'. The aircraft crash-landed in the sea on November 20th, 1944., returning from bombing mission to Blechammer. All crew members were rescued and returned to Italy.
